TAHLEQUAH, OK - The Cherokee Nation’s motor vehicle tag offices will be
closed on various dates throughout the month of November. Tag offices
are located in Tahlequah, Collinsville, Gore and Adair.
Each office will be closed on Tuesday, November 11 in recognition of Veterans Day; on Wednesday, November 19 for staff development (Tahlequah office will remain open); and on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 for Thanksgiving. Cherokee Nation’s tag offices provide Cherokee Nation citizens living in the 14-county jurisdictional area of the tribe the opportunity to purchase tribal motor vehicle tags. A portion of the revenue from each tag sold is contributed annually to area school districts. During the past five years, since the tribal motor vehicle tag program began, the Cherokee Nation has contributed more than $13 million to help schools in its 14-county tribal service jurisdiction.
