KANSAS, OK - The Cherokee Nation will host a Road Dedication and Fish
Fry on Tuesday, November 18, at 6:30 p.m., in the cafeteria of Kansas
High School.
The road dedication is for the Daytown-Drycreek Road Project. The tribe contributed $7.7 million dollars to pave the road that ties the city of Kansas to neighboring communities and acts as an access road for local authorities. The project was financed through the Cherokee Nation’s Indian Reservation Roads funding. The new road design has softened the curves of the road, improved road drainage and improved the site distance for drivers, making the road safer for citizens. The event is open to the public and free to attend. For more information about the Road Dedication and Fish Fry, contact 918-207-3804. |
